1. Spectrometer

Notes and tests:

1. The spectrometer has three components which must be aligned – the collimator, the telescope and the grating.

2. Using a kimwipe and alcohol (wear gloves), clean the vernier scale all the way around and on both sides.

3. Using a clean kimwipe, clean the eyeglass with or lens cleaner.

4. Align the lamp and slit then focus on the slit. Once the cross hair is centered on the slit, zero the vernier scale.

5. Check at each lamp gives the correct spectrum
